Viewpoint: New Development trend of single screw extruder in the future

2022-11-16

Plastic machinery brings advanced technology and equipment to the plastic industry, which is the pillar industry of the plastic industry. In the world, the types of plastic machinery are mainly composed of injection molding machines, extruders and blow molding machines, which account for more than 80% of the total production value of plastic machinery, and the popularity of the sales market tops the list.

In view of the continuous expansion of the market and the technological application of the extruder sales market, the overall trend of a small increase can still be maintained. However, it is difficult to avoid a sharp decline in the market price of China's extruders. Rough manufacturing and price competition have already affected the overall shape and market competitiveness of China's plastic machines, and also hindered the development of the plastic product manufacturing industry.

In the future, the sales market of extruder host and production line will develop in the direction of high technology level and low price. At present, most extruders in China are dominated by conical twin screw extruders and single screw extruders. The technology application is relatively perfect, and the sales volume in the market is also large. However, the general specifications of these products have been oversupplied, and they can only maintain about 50%~60% of the peak of the sales market. The core of the host in the future is to develop parallel counter rotating twin screw extruders, which are suitable for large extrusion volume. Parallel co rotating twin screw extruders should be developed towards the sixth and seventh generation of high speed, large length diameter ratio. The development trend of single screw extruder is large diameter, large aspect ratio and smooth exhaust. In fact, the single screw extruder is a low energy consumption, low-cost model. As long as the technology is properly applied, most of it can reach the efficiency of twin-screw extruders. For example, most of the plastic extruders used in the United States today are single screw extruders. In view of the high level of technology, they have replaced some twin-screw extruders.
