China's heavy policy vigorously promotes the aging, upgrading and transformation of gas pipelines

Recently, China released the Implementation Plan for Aging, Renewal and Reconstruction of Urban Gas Pipelines (2022-2025), which means that the aging, renewal and reconstruction of urban gas pipelines have entered the accelerated agenda. The Implementation Plan clearly sets out the goal of accelerating the implementation of a number of aging renovation projects in 2022, and basically completing the aging renovation tasks such as urban gas pipelines by the end of 2025.

According to the Code for Design of Urban Gas, the medium and low pressure gas pipes with a pressure range of 0-0.4MPa can be made of polyethylene pipes (PE pipes), ductile iron pipes, steel plastic composite pipes and other pipe types. For the sub high pressure and high pressure gas pipelines with a pressure range of more than 0.4MPa, steel pipes with good resistance to brittle failure and good welding performance must be used to ensure the safety of gas transmission pipelines.

In addition, the Implementation Plan proposes to promote the construction of digitalization, networking and intelligence, and the related fields such as intelligent sensing equipment, Internet of Things system of gas pipeline network, information management platform, etc. are ushered in important openings. There are huge industrial opportunities in related fields.
