Design principles of PE pipe extrusion production line

The PE pipe extrusion production line is equipment used to produce polyethylene (PE) pipes. In this production line, the plastic particles are heated and melted by the extruder, and then extruded through the die. The following is the design principle of the PE pipe extrusion production line:

Raw material processing: First, the polyethylene particles are fed into the hopper of the extruder, and the raw materials are transported to the screw of the extruder through the feeding system.

Plasticizing extrusion: In the extruder, the screw rotates to heat and melt the raw materials to form a melt. At the same time, the screw pushes the molten plastic material forward and increases the pressure, so that the plastic melt is extruded through the die hole of the die head.

Die head design: The die head is a very important component in the PE pipe extrusion production line. Its design directly affects the molding quality and specifications of the pipe. The structure of the die should be reasonable to ensure uniform melt flow and sufficient cooling, and the outer diameter, wall thickness and other parameters of the pipe can be adjusted as needed.

Cooling and shaping: After the extruded pipe passes through the die, it enters the cooling water tank for rapid cooling to fix the shape of the pipe and reduce the temperature.

Traction cutting: After cooling and shaping, the pipe enters the traction mechanism, which pulls the pipe to a suitable speed. At the same time, the cutting mechanism cuts the pipe to the required length.

Online detection: Some online detection devices are usually installed on the production line, such as wall thickness detectors, diameter detectors, etc., to monitor the quality of pipelines and adjust production parameters in a timely manner.

Through the above process, the PE pipe extrusion production line can process and shape PE plastic raw materials to produce PE pipe products of various specifications. Reasonable design and stable production technology are the keys to ensuring the normal operation of the production line and producing high-quality products.
